This fine grade Louisiana officer’s belt was made in New Orleans, Louisiana for some of the city’s elite units. The quality exhibited in the die struck tongue disc is second to none, North or South. The rounded belt loops and ringed wreath are a strictly Confederate era design. The same company who manufactured this belt also made identical belts with the letters W.A. on the tongue disc, as well as the letters CS and one with a star disc. This style has a strong association with the famed Washington Artillery of New Orleans. The belt’s condition is perfect with the exception of the sword hangers. |
